I was rooting against the Colts, and by extension you might say for the Saints. I just cannot stand the Colts anymore thanks to their showing in the last Superbowl. Chicago fans carry grudges for a long time (re: Chicago Cubs & Mets). All in all, though I was pretty satisfied with the result. Unlike prior games, it actually was a pretty well played football game. That 2 point conversion in particular was a great heads up play and showed plenty of athleticism. It was also the perfect example of why replay exists--that was a call you wouldn't expect an official to make on the field--and an showing of all-too-rare judgment later when it was overturned. I enjoyed that Payton Manning lost the game for the Colts, but then they would never have been there were it not for his arm. I am not really concerned that New Orleans had never won one before and I'm really not all that into the symbolism.
