Chapter Master Doran Galba was in command of this ill-fated expedition, having recently assumed command from Chapter-Master Otho Cornelius when he was killed in battle only one planet back in their crusade. It was that captain for whom Master Epistolary Markus Korroga searched, along with what remained of his battle-worn company. Ordinarily he would not have been in command, himself due to the recent restructuring mandated by Robout Guilleman’s Index Astartes, but the Captain of the 4th company had already been slain as well.

“Honor Guard, Brother Etrurius. This is not good,” one marine reported, only moments before coming upon someone else, “Sir!”
