Everything the Harlequins performed had something to do with the gods, a sort of ongoing cosmic opera or ballet. The Fall was easily the greatest subject of their dance. The events leading to the fall and the Eldar Gods who exist before it were also subjects to a lesser degree. Then there was the dance of final victory, rather bizarre interpretation performed by few and only upon the death of the troupe's Solitaire. Considering the unmatched prowess of a Solitaire and their distant role, it was not often that they were killed and even less often that their body was recovered for the ceremony, a strange mixture of celebration and funeral. It was the rarity of this performance that brought Brun to it. Even with Eldar life spans, particularly those of seers, to see the dance in person was an uncommon treat.
