Though sparsely defended at this point, with the fighting presumably isolated to different parts of the ship, what remained was mostly the guards of the Adeptus Mechanicus themselves. Some of them were more formidable than others, but they all fought with a religious ferocity. The firepower of the Ork, though poorly aimed at times, was sufficient to take them up the stairs and into the temple itself.
