Welcome to the Immortal Enemies Blog, a place were we, the people who have the most say in the creation process, let you guys know what we think. Immortal Enemies, of course, is a digital graphic novel set to Games-Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe. All-in-all, the creation process is expected to take a couple of years, but we hope you’ll stick with us because we would like to think it is well worth the wait. Below you will find some basic information on us, the creators, where we’re coming from, our 40k experiences, et cetera.
Jonathan R. Brünner - Co-creator, Writer, and Illustrator
Graduate of Millikin University, Jon has a BFA in Studio art, but is currently employed as an insurance producer. He creates the illustrations in his spare time and is the original creator of Seer Brün, who’s name in retrospect could be more creative. Jon played 40k for a number of years, through most of 2nd edition’s longevity and a few years into 3rd edition. At the time of his departure from the hobby, he had over 7500 points of Eldar, enough marines to field a full company of Crimson Fists, a small Sisters of Battle, Harlequin, and Tzeenche Marine force. First and foremost, he is an Eldar player, despite appearances otherwise.
Jonathan W. Kroeger - Co-creator, Provider of Worthless Feedback, Ork Editor
Jon is currently living in Japan with his wife, Brandy, who teaches English to Japanese high school students on the JET Program. He telecommutes to his American job in IT with PayPal, Inc., and is pursuing an degree in Computer Information System in Business online. He draws, but not this comic, and writes, but not this comic, and is the original creator of Kaptin Zed Gorzog. Always in the hobby for the background and modelling and rarely for the painting or gaming, Jon stopped following 40k several years back. Jon’s friends have since decided to pick up the hobby 12 years late, so they’ve rekindled his interest. Jon currently owns a virtual horde of unpainted Orks, as well as some piecemeal Chaos and ‘nilla Marines.
David K. Nelson - 2nd Editor
Dave works for the government. He can’t say what exactly he does, but it’s got something to do with keeping you safe. Dave has some latent artistic talent, but is nowhere near as developed as the aforementioned professionals. He is the original creator of Brother-Captain Kairo and gives many thanks to both of his friends (the co-creators) for including him in this project. Like Jon K, Dave is now mainly in the hobby for the background and model conversion. Dave owns roughly 2500 points of Dark Angels, as well as smaller collections of Thousand Sons, Rogue Trader, Space Wolves and Alaitoc Eldar.
